Sir, —In the midst of the cam* paign of fitness, I am reminded of the following lines by Spenser:— So every spirit as it is more pnre And hath in it the more of heavenly light So it the fairer body doth procure ' To habit in, and it more fairly dight With cheerful grace and amiable sight - For of the soul, the body form doth take. By all means exercise to keep fit, but do not forget to exercise the mind by the reading of good books, and above all never forget that we are composed of body, mind and spirit, and that to be good is to be beautiful.
