OBITUARY

MRS. MARY SILVESTER £from our own correspondent! HAMILTON, Thursday The death has occurred of Mrs. Mary Silvester, aged 88. Born in Lancashire, England, Mrs. Silvester first went to South Africa and visited Australia before landing at Lyttelton 53 years ago. She married Mr. Silvester at Christchurch. The family came to the Waikato in 1897, wh>;n Mr. Silvester, a schoolteacher, relinquished his position as headmaster of the Swanannoa School. They took up a block of land near Huntly, but later moved to Koromatua. Mr. Silvester retired from farming in 1911 and in that year came to Hamilton with his wife. Mrs. Silvester is survived by one son and one daughter.
