NEW ZEALAND SYSTEM HUDDERSFIELD COMPLAINT TRADERS' DISADVANTAGES [from oue own cokkespondent] LONDON, Feb. :i "New Zealand has a Socialist Govern ment, and we hope it will soon bt» changed," said Mr. Harry Dawson, a member of the Huddersfield Chamber of Commerce, at a meeting this week It was decided to call the attention of the Board of Trade to the likelihood of traders suffering as a result of their import licences for New Zealand being cancelled at thf> last minute. A letter from a New Zealand iirm said there was sometimes difficulty in obtaining import licences, and it w;s? stated that the New Zealand authorities had the right to cancel a licence at any time up to the day of shipment, though by the time the licence was'cancel led the goods might have gone into production. The chamber desires,further information on the subject.
