Tli'ey are Messrs. A. I<. Watkins, of the Sydney Rucsack Club, and A. J. Salmon, of the Bushwalking Club, Sydney. They expect to spend 10 weeks in Now Zealand, tramping and camping all the time. Mr. Watkins said they expected to use road transport only to get them to and from the districts through which they were going to travel. Stewart Island, the Milford Track and the mountainous country in the southern lake district were their principal obiectives, but how much they were going to do depended on the time at their disposal. They intended to do a good deal of alpine climbing. He said he had made a previous mountaineering trip to New Zealand and knew the sort of conditions to expect.
