BEGINNING THE DAY
(Supplied by the Council of Christian Congregations.) Text.—l, even I, am he that blot* teth out thy transgressions for mine own name sake, and will_ not remember thy sins. Isaiah 43. 25. Verse.— Plenteous grace with Thee is found. Grace to cover all m.v sin; Let the healing streams abound. Make and keep me pure within. Thou of life the fountain art, Freely let me take of Thee: Spring Thou up within my heart. Rise to all eternity. Prayer.—Before we called, Oh, Lord, truly Thou hast answered. When we looked up to Thee with the sense or our failure immediately Thou didst speaK the mightly absolution. The blood or Jesus Christ Thy Son cleanseth us from all our sins. And if our own hearts condemn us God is greater than our hearts and knoweth all things. May v-o have grace to look to His cross so thn His peace may possess our hearts, n Thy great mercies bind us not only V Thee, but also to our fellow-men. 11 our hearts with hope and courage boi at the cross and the resurrection. » seek these things in Christ our Lor • Amen.
