THE SUMMER SHOW
ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME An extensive programme of firstclass entertainment will be provided for patrons of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association's annual summer show, which will be opened next Friday at the Epsom Showgrounds. An attractive outdoor programme has been arranged and a feature will be the chariot races, which last 'year provided spectators with many thrills. Special events will be daring exhibitions of riding by the American horseman " Daredevil " Frank McFarlane and the Australian rough-rider Fred Yeomans. Both men will perform a series of tricks on horseback that have never before been witnessed in Auckland. In addition, Yeomans will demonstrate his art with the big Australian stockwhip. Excellent entries have been received in the cattle, horse, sheep and poultry sections, while this year unusual interest is also being taken in the flower and arts and crafts sections. Two trotting events vMI be decided on the banked quarter-mile track on Saturday afternoon, some of Auckland's leading horses bavins entered. Greyhound racing, wood-chopping contests and sheep-dog trials also .will Jb© held*
