TRAM WINDOW BREAKS
While a tramear, one of the "Fiducia" type, bound from Seatoun to Wellington, was making its way down the incline near Strathmore Park just after eight o'clock recently, there was a sharp report and glass from one of the windows was flung into the tram. A passenger sitting near the window had his clothes covered with small glass splinters, and glass found resting-places inside his coat and in his pockets. Why the window broke is not known. At the time of the occurrence the rt»ar trolley-pole had come off the overhead u-ire and the front one was also loose.
