Degrelles' opposition to the appointment of Dr. Mertens to the Ministry. The Catholic ex-Minister, M. Pier lot, is trying to form a Cabinet after M. Henri Jaspar had failed to do so. BELGIAN STATESMAN DEATH OF M. JASPAR CAREER IN POLITICS BRUSSELS, Feb. 15 The death has occurred of M. Henri Jaspar, who last week was asked to form a new Cabinet after the resignation of Dr. Spaak and his Ministers.
