Mr. Goldberg lias left Christchurch after being in the citj* since Tuesday morning, when ho booked in at tho United Service Hotel, but left later in the day for Warner's Hotel. Ho left the latter when the staff said that they would refuse to give him service. He had already left a hotel in the North Island for the same reason. The alleged reason for the boycott by members of tho Hotel Workers' Union was that he had discouraged the Labour Partv, that he had assembled the staff of tile Waterloo Ifotel in Wellington and advised them to voto for tho National Party, and that ho had said that all who voted for Labour had reccived a "bonus" of £5 each.
