AMERICAN DESTROYERS
COMPLETION DELAYED ENGINEERING DEFECTS WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 The completion of 18 of the United States Navy's newest destroyers is delayed owing to the discovery of engineering defects in the turbines. The contractor, instead of the Government, is bearing the costs, but it means many months of delay.
