SOCIAL EVENING

MANGATEPARU SCOUTS MANY PEOPLE ATTEND A party of 15 Matamata Hovers visited Mangateparu on Saturday evening and provided the programme at a social and dance, arranged by the Mangateparu Scout committee to raise funds for equipping a Rover crew. The hall was filled with the people of the district and visitors from Morrinsville. Among the Matamata visitors were eight musicians who provided the dance music. District Commissioner l'\ G. Southon, of Te I'oi, addressed lliose present and spoke of the good work that could be accomplished by a Hover crew at Mangateparu. He said that Mr. L. M. Fahe.v had undertaken the work of Hover-leader. Items were given by Mr. Southon, of Matamata, and Mr. H. Young.
