Glenbrook. —Mrs. Gearon presided at the recent monthly meeting of the Glenbrook Women's institute, items were presented by Mrs. McDonald, Miss West head and Miss Douglas, and Mrs. Hepburn gave a talk. Still, Remits for the annual conference were discussed. Ihe hostesses for afternoon tea were Mrs. Oliver and Mrs. Hoskins.

Kihikihi. —The vice-president, Mrs. Raiue, presided at a recent meeting of the institute. Ihe district Plunket nurse. 'Miss Thomas, gave a helpful address on the care of babies. The bring and buy table, in charge ol members, did good business. Letters of thanks were received lroiu the Waikato Children's Health Camp and from-the New Zealand Crippled Children's Association for donations to their funds. These donations were the surplus from the Christmas children's party organised by the Kihikihi Women's Institute. Competitions were won as follows: Useful article from sugar bag: Mrs. Kinzctt. 1; Mrs. Passeau, 2. Child's school lunch: Mrs. Passeau 1; Mrs. Paine, 2. The judge was Miss Thomas.
