REFRESHMENTS FOR STAFF
"When the discussion on the possibility of reducing expenditure took place at the last meeting 011 January 23, I made it pretty plain that tnornin,r and afternoon tea was not to he considered," stated Mr. J. Sayegh at a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board this week. He added that certain misapprehensions had arisen. Mr. Sayegh said he did not want auy nurse or any member of the staff refused refreshments in their working hours. No member of the board had mentioned that he or she wanted the food for the staff reduced or stopped.
