BED ON CAR HOOD
The most important thing in camping is a warm and comfortable bed, according to Mr. S. G. Whittall, of W ailganui, who has designed sleeping quarters on the top of his car. In live minutes he can transform a llat, boxlike load 011 the hood .into a cosy double bed, complete with a reading lamp and rigid, waterproof walls. The bed, with its folding roof, is of standard size, r>4in. wide and Git. long. Me. first got the idea of sleeping on top of bis car when he saw a double-decker sheep float, and since then bis camping troubles have been over, lie said. Hods from the running boards take all the weight, and there is no strain or difficulty in. driving.,
