SUNDAY PLAY
USE OF SCHOOL GROUNDS The decision of the Canterbury Education Board to prohibit the use of school grounds under its control for tennis and other sports on, Sunday was strongly criticised by some speakers at a meeting of the Canterbury School Committees' Association. It was claimed that the board's action was unfair, and several representatives of country schools stated that it would spoil the social activities of the schools, It was decided to ask the board to reconsider its decision.
