A striped marlin weighing 2531b. was caught hv Dr. D. Law* rente, of To Aroha. Dr. R. L. Sutton, ol' Kansas City, also caught a striped marlin of 2501b. after playing the tish slightly over half an hour. A» tine hammerhead shark of :5501b. was taken by Mr. I?. L. Stevens, of Te Aroha, after a two-hour struggle near Stephenson's Island.
