REFUGEES IN BRITAIN RESULT OF ADMISSION LONDON, Feb. 3 Instancing how trade had increased as the result of the admission of refugees to Britain, Sir Samuel Hoare, Home Secretary, said that 11.000 migrants had provided work for 15,000./ British workers who otherwise would have been unemployed. Permission had been given for the establishment of 200 factories by refugees in distressed and industrial areas.
