The advantages of a Waitakere Nati :mal Park as Auckland's centennial memorial will be discussed at a public nicenng to be held in the Lewis Kady Hall to-night. The speakers will be Sir James Parr, the Hon. T. Bloodworth and Mr. G. W. Hutchison. Mr. 10. Early Vaile has compiled an illustrated brochure giving a short history of the Wai'iakere Ranges and supporting tho establishment of the, park as a fitting memorial. A description is given of s,oni'i! of the beautiful scenery in the ranges, where almost every type of native vegetation is growing.
