POOR POWER SUPPLY

THAMES VALLEY POSITION COMPLAINT TO DEPARTMENT [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE AROIIA, Thursday Complaints regarding the low voltage that had been received from the Public Works Department sub-stations during the past few months caused considerable discussion at a meeting of the Thames Valley Power Board. The manager stated that the poor supply of power had been a source of great inconvenience throughout the board's area. The department had been approached during the month with a request for an improvement. There had been a slight increase in voltage following the request, but until the regulators were installed, which might be some months yet, further improvement could not be effected. After some discussion it was decided to empower tin; finance committee to frame a very urgent letter to the Public Works Department emphasising the necessity of improving the voltage in the district.
