VIVID LIGHTNING FLASHES HUMIDITY AT HAMILTON [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday Extremely hot and humid conditions were experienced to-day at Hamilton and a sudden change in the weather occurred at 5.20 o'clock in the afternoon, when a downpour of tropical intensity fell. The rain continued heavily for about 30 minutes and was followed by a striking electrical storm. Vivid flashes of lightning and loud claps of thunder occurred. There were light showers of rain during the evening. The storm did not cause the heat to abate and conditions remained very sultry.
