YOUTHFUL BURGLARS

Crimes by two youths between Christehurch and Invercargill ended with their arrest after ransacking a house at St. Clair while the occupants were away on holiday. They were Frank Dixon, aged 17, and Garfield Frederick John William Smith, aged 17. who admitted stealing money and goods to the value of £37. The youths were committed for sentence at the Supreme Court in Christehurch, the police stating they had admitted burglaries there and in Tiraaru.
