WARNING TO MEXICO

PROPERTY EXPROPRIATIONS SON OF MR. ROOSEVELT (Received December 27, 8.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 27 Mr. Elliott Roosevelt, a son of the President, in a radio address over his own network of stations, admonished Mexico for her expropriation of property, and said: "It is obvious thatsomething must be done. Mexico has acted, but the United States has not begun to act. Our 'good neighbour' policy apparently is not enough. Until Mexico makes an overture for friendship I for one must subscribe to the theory that actions speak louder than worda." The speaker said it would be for the good of Mexico if she invited representatives of the nations affected to work out a settlement of the oil and land expropriations.
