DISCOVERY IN EGYPT 6000-YEAR-OLD TOMB ARCHAEOLOGIST'S REWARD (Received December 20, . fi.s p.m.) CAIRO, Dec. 25 A British archaeologist, Mr. Walter Emery, excavating in a cemetery at a depth of 30ft. in tho neighbourhood of the Step Pyramid, discovered the only Egyptian tomb that has so far been found intact with its treasures.

The tomb belonged to a nobleman of the Second Dynasty (4514-42128.C.). Even the meal of fish, meat, game and cakes provided on alabaster plates for the dead was still recognisable in spite of the passage of 6000 years.
