MAORI SEVERELY HURT ACCIDENT AT PORT WAIKATO CONDITION REPORTED SERIOUS Fractured ribs and internal injuries were suffered by Miki Thompson, aged 26, n Maori, of Port Waikato, when he was pinned beneath a motor-car, which was involved in an accident at Port "Waikato late on Wednesday night. The injured man was attended by Dr. H. S. Douglas, of Pukekohe, and a St. John ambulance was summoned from Auckland. The whole trip of about 120 miles was made in good time, and the patient was admitted to the Auckland Hospital shortly before four o'clock yesterday morning. His condition last night was regarded as serious.
