ITALIAN DECREE
RESPECT FOR REFEREES Independent Gable Service HOWE. Dec. 20 It lias been decreed that sports referees and umpires are "public officials " and are entitled to the greatest respect under penalty of imprisonment. A boxer, Rafaele Cellj, was sent to gaol for six months for knocking out a referee who had given a decision against him.
