FRIENDLY ROAD CHOIR
Sir, —It was announced over the air some weeks ago that the Adult Friendly J load Choir would give a rendering of special Christinas music on Sunday morning, December 18. I had looked forward to it, and was surprised to hear that not one member of the choir attended the studio on Sunday morning. J have now been informed that the choir gave its special Christmas service at the Eden Terrace Methodist Church, and that the right of the use of the air had 1 been denied them, a privilege they have enjoyed since the inception of the Friendly Road. Listeners were entitled to an explanation as to why they failed to keep to the promise made, but no announcement over the air was made. From inquiries made I find that the choir has done excellent work during the year. They -visited 19 institutions, providing their own means of transit. They have been non-political, and neither was the making of money their object. They took a delight in brightening the lives of others, and deserve better treatment than is meted out to them now. Road Friendly.
