ACTIVITIES DISPLAYED YEAR'S WORK RESULTS GIRLS' AND BOYS' AWARDS Parents' day was hold at the Takapuna Grammar School.-Business at the stalls conducted by staff mistresses and the wives of masters was brisk throughout tho day, and the funds being collected for the furnishing of the assembly hall are expected to benefit considerably as a result. Representative displays of tho work done at tho school were held in the main building and other displays were given in the chemical laboratory and the workshops.' SCHOLARSHIPS WON NGARTJA SCHOOL PUPILS [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] TE AROHA, Wednesday Two pupils of the Ngnrtia School, Jean Hayward and lan Scott, were successful this year in gaining the Taranaki Scholarships, which are competed for by Standard VI. pupils throughout the Waikato. The holders attend the New Plymouth High School free for three years. A feature of the awards is that tho successful pupils are brother and sister respectively of tho scholarship winners two years ago, who also were at tho Ngarua School.
