Header, of Poroti, was held by the district coroner, Mr; G. H. Morrish. Evidence was given by the father, a share-milker, that he went to the milkiug shed at about 4.30 yesterday afternoon, and his wife joined him at abouc five o'clock, leaving the baby asleep.. At 7.30, witness returned to the house and, looking into the semi-dark bedroom, the child appeared to be still asleep. Later bis wife told him the baby was dead, and witness found that a rubber sheet usually placed under v the child was over her head. Witness tried.
