Exporters' Committee had offered gifts of bulbs for planting in the neighbourhood of the Parliament buildings of those countries which contributed to the rescue of mankind from the horrors of war. On behalf of the British Government Sir Philip has accepted a gift of 10,000 tulips from the committee and these will be planted in the gardens adjoining the Victoria Tower of the Houses of Parliament.
