CAR RUNS OFF ROAD
TELEGRAPH POLE BROKEN COMMUNICATION INTERRUPTED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Thursday As the result of a motor-car running off the main«road south of Whangarei this afternoon and smashing a telegraph pole and bringing down the wires, telegraphic and telephonic communication between Whangarei and Auckland was interrupted. A gang from the post and Telegraph Department soon repaired the lines.
