FATE OF SCHUSCHNIGG RELEASE OFFER REFUSED SEEKS ASSOCIATES' LIBERTY Times Cable LONDON, Nov. 28 Herr Hitler arrived in Vienna secretly on November 26 to discuss the release of Dr. Schuschnigg, says the correspondent of the Times in that city. It is understood that the former Austrian Chancellor was offered freedom for himself, his wife and son to leave the country, but he refused unless a number of his associates were granted an amnesty.

The correspondent adds that from a most trustworthy source he learns that an extensive purge of local Nazis has taken place, in which 135 were recently shot.
