QUICK RECOVERY « LOGAN DERBY FOR WAIRIO [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN* CORRESPONDENT] DUNEDIN, Sunday Logan Derby made a quick recovery from an attack of colic and fufilled his engagements at Forbury Park yesterday. Ho won tho Forbury Handicap in record time for the track and, when making up, ground after going a mile, was time to go half a mile in 1.1. When brought out for the final event, Logan Derby did not act with his usual dash and, although he ran a good, game nice, Big Author beat him comfortably. It was evident that two races, in the circumstances, proved too hard a task for the Globe Derby horse. The appearance of Logan Derby greatly enhanced the interest in the meeting. He will bo sent an exhibition mile at the Wairio Trotting Club's meeting to he held on December 3, prior to being shipped to Australia. \ ' NEW BRIGHTON TROTS
