GOVERNMENT'S WORK APPROVAL EXPRESSED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday The opinion that the Government should be commended for the assistance it had given and was prepared to give to the encouragement of athletics in New Zealand was expressed by the Mayor, Mr. H. D. Caro, at a civic reception tendered to -Messrs. V. P. Boot and S. A. Lay, two visiting Empire Games athletes, in Hamilton yesterday Mr. Caro said he considered it was the duty of every citizen to support the Government in its efforts to improve the health and physical fitness of the young people of Nert' Zealand.
