YESTERDAY'S SALES RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Following is a list of yesterday's transactions 011 tho New Zealand Stock Exchanges apd the yield at tho quoted price. Tho exchange premium 011 dividends payable in sterling is included, and allowance is mado for British income tax where necessary, but no allowance is mado for brokerage, nor aro bonus dividends taken into account. The yield on Government loans includes redemption.

DUNEDIN EXCHANGE Placer Development, 73s Od. dominion breweries HIGHER INTERIM DIVIDEND The directors of Dominion Breweries, Limited, have decided to pay an interim dividend at the rate of 11 per cent per annum on the amount paid up on shares from time to time during the half-year ended September 30. Payment will bo made on December 16. The interim distribution last year was at the rate of 10 per cent per annum, and the rate was maintained in tho fall year's payment. SWAN BREWERY PROFITS For tho six months ended September 20, Swan Brewery Company, Limited, Western Australia, earned a profit ot £54,210, after reserving £15,552 lor taxation. This compares with £68,025 in the previous half-year and £53,900 in tho corresponding period of 1937. With the final payment of (3d a share, plus a bonus of 3d n share for the previous half-year, the distribution for the full year 'is Is 3d a share, equivalent to 25 per cent, an unchanged rate.
