DISCOVERY BY WORKMEN BIRDS FOUND IN BURROW INJURED MALE'S RESENTMENT [by telegraph—own correspondent] HASTINGS. Wednesday A male kiwi and chick wore discovered in a 2ft. deep burrow by workmen between Eskdale and Te Pohue yesterday. The parent bird was slightly injured, and it is possible that it had been worried in some manner. When approached by the workmen the bird showed its resentment in no uncertain manner.
