APPROVAL OF LOAN
THE NEWMARKET POLL SWIMMING POOL SCHEME PLAN TO RAISE £18,500 A decision in favour of a proposal to raise a loan not exceeding £18,500, with a currency of 25 years, was made by ratepayers of Newmarket, at a poll yesterday, by a majority of 400 votes. It is proposed under the borough scheme to provide an Olympic swimming pool and other amenities, including the provision of motor-car parking areas near the shopping area of Newmarket. The voting Was as follows: — For . . . . * 430 Against . . . . . . . . 30 The total number of voters on the roll was 930.
