MAORI GULLY PURCHASE NEVIS DREDGE BOUGHT Proposals for the acquisition of the Nevis Diesel Electric Company's dredge (Otago) and for the exercise of options over areas a few miles south of Kumara (West Const) were adopted by shareholders of the Maori Gully (Kokiri) Gold Dredging Company, Limited, at the annual meeting in Christchurch on Monday. A commencement is to be - made immediately with the difmantling of the Nevis dredge for removal to a site at Callaghan's. near Kumara. The directors reported that the cost of exercising the options would be £2575. The purchase price of the Nevis dredge ajid equipment in a partiallydismantled state, together with hardwood pontoons at the site of the Upper | Nevis, would bo approximately £BOO. i MOLYNEUX DREDGE RESUMES The removal of the Molyneux Gold Dredging Company's* dredge' further up the Molyneux River (Otago) was completed successfully early this month. The re-erection of the power line .and other incidental work was completed during! the next 10 days, and the dredge recommenced operations on Monday in its new position.
