ELECTROCUTION OF COWS
COMPENSATION FOR OWNER EX GRATIA PAYMENT [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Tuesday An echo of tho accident on Mr. R. 0, Wymer's farm at Glenbrook on the night of September 17, when a power pole snapped and 11 of Mr. Wymer's cows were electrocuted, was heard at to-day's meeting of the Franklin Power Board. Mr. Wymer, whose loss was estimated at the time of tlio accident at about £l5O, had put in a claim for compensation to the board, which had passed tho claiiji on to tho insurance company concerned. It was announced at to-day's meeting that the insurance company did not acknowledge liability, but had decided to make an ox gratia payment of £llO to Mr. Wymer.
