GAMING ACT CHARGE PLEA OF GUILTY ENTERED PROSECUTION AT HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Monday A fine of £SO was imposed 011 Gabriel Bossad, aged 35, a radio dealer, in tho Hamilton Police Court to-day on a charge of using an office in Ward Street, Hamilton, on Saturday as a common gaming house. Tho accused pleaded guilty. Detectivg-Sergeant J. Thompson stated that a search warrant was executed on the accused's premises, which were equipped with two telephones and a radio. The documents found showed that tho accused had taken 108 doubles on the Te Rapa races on Saturday, and had collected £54. The accused had not previously been before the Court. The magistrate, Mr. S. L. Paterson, said the evidence showed that the accused was not doing badly to take £54 on one daj\ WELLINGTON OFFENDER MAN WITH 11 CHILDREN [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION J WELLINGTON, Monday , In tho Magistrate's Court Edward George Nunns, who was stated by his counsel to be only an agent, but by the police to be carrying on in a fairly large way, was to-day fined £SO for bookmaking. "Ho js a man with 11 children,", said counsel, "seven of whom are wholly dependent on him." ' The alternative was fixed at two months' imprisonment. Nunns had two previous convictions on similar charges.
