CASTOR BAY AFFAIRS

I RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION All parts of the Castor Bay district were well represented at a meeting of ratepayers, held in the Presbyterian Church Hall this week, when it was decided to form the Castor Bay Ratepayers' Association. Officers were elected as follows: President, Sir James Parr; vice-presi-dent, Mr. J. B. Ramsay; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. Chappellj committee, Mrs. Lewis, Miss Marker, Messrs. Hawkes, Jameson, Lamont, Retter and Vauso. Improvement to the district, which the meeting considered necessary, included better main road access, the installation of a public telephone, improved approaches to the beaches, a more frequent bus service and increased street lighting.
