WAITEMATA GOLF CLUB
LADIES' CLOSING DAY Bowls of pink begonias and asparagus fern decorated the club rooms of the Waitemata Golf Club yesterday, when lady members held their annual closing day party. Several competitions were played. in the foursome match, Mrs. S. Bond and Mrs. B. WElwarth tied with Mrs. R. Challinor and Mrs. Mullan, the former pair, winning on tho count back. The long drive competition was won by Mrs E. M. Persect, and the winner <?f the approaching competition was Miss Z. Marks. After the tea interval, the president, Mrs. G. A. Gribbin, presented the prizes won during the season. The committee in charge of the arrangements comprised: —The club captain, Mrs. A. E. Carnahan; Mrs. Clyde, Mrs. L. Cooke, Mrs. D. Prime, Mrs. S. Langley, Mrs. F. Procter, Mrs. S. Wynyard and Mrs. E. P. Titchener.
