POTTER BULLS REALISE £7

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports the entry of cattle at Morrinsville was larger than usual in all classes, particularly in the yearling heifer section. A good yarding of fats and boners sold well; A pen of medium-weight bullocks on account Messrs. McDonald Bros., Kiwitahi, gold at £l2 2s 6d, and a pen of fat cows on behalf of the same vendor realised £9 7s.

In the heef section the yarding was also good and late rates were well maintained. A satisfactory yarding of yearling heifers came forward. The ad/ertised entry was considerably exceeded. Although a large bench of buyers was present, competition was not quite so keen as last week, and a fow pens failed to reach the vendors' reserves. However, it was managed to dispose of most of these privately after the sale, resulting in practically a total cleat ance. Good yearling heifers, to £5 15a; medium, £4 17s Gd to £5 10s; poorer, £4 10s to £4 17s Gd; light yearling Shorthorn heifers, £3 to £3 10s. A lino of well-bred shorn ewe hoggets, the property of Mr. G. Webster, realised ' 27s 6d, more medium sheep bringing from ISs 6d to 21s. Carlyon Bros, topped the sale in the shorn wether hogget section at 18s, more medium sheep bringing from 14s 9d to 16s 6d. Medium woolly hoggets realised 10s 2d.
