BUSHMAN INJURED

STRUCK BY WIRE ROPE A bushman, Mr. Piri Morgan, married, aged 40, of 8 Vincent Street, City, suffered a compound fracture abovo his right lcneo, as the result of being struck by a wire hawser when it broke while a log was being hauled to the timber mill of Lang and Freeth, Limited, at Lone Kauri, Kerikeri, yesterday. Another employee was struck by the hawser and thrown somo distance, but suffered no injury. Mr. Morgan was brought to the Auckland Hospital in a 'St. John ambulance, and his condition last night was fairly serious.
