FALL FROM SCAFFOLDING
CARPENTER'S MISFORTUNE SERIOUS INTERNAL INJURIES When he fell from the scaffolding of a house in course of erection in Marua Road/Ellerslie, about 3.45 o'clock yesterday afternoon; the foreman carpenter, Mr. Ralph Lush, aged 4(3, married, of 130 Pah Road, Onehunga, struck a wooden.peg in the ground and it pierced his abdomen. He was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital suffering from internal injuries. His condition last night was regarded ns serious.'
MISHAP AT WORKSHOPS PROP TO CONCRETE FLOOR Falling through the skylight of building" at the railway workshops, Otahuhu, yesterday afternoon, Mr. Frederick George Browne, aged 32, married, a coppersmith employed by the New Zealand Railways, of 79 Ladies' Mile, Ellerslie, suffered concussion and a fracture of the collarbone. He fell a distance! of 25ft. to a concrete floor. Ho. was taken by a St. John ajnbulance to the Auckland Hospital, where his condition is not regarded as serious.
