Mr. C. 11. Ford left on a business visit to Wellington by the limited express last night.

The Hon. T. Blood worth. M.L.C., w.\s a passenger from Wellington by the early express on Saturday morning.

Mr. V. Ballard, inspector of police at Nukualofa, arrived by the Matua yesterday to spend his furlough in New Zealand.

Mr. C. A. Deuxherry returned to Auckland' yesterday by the Matua after making the round trip to the Islands for health reasons.

Dr. G. Graham Russell, who returned recently from a visit to England, will resume his duties as port health officer at Auckland to-morrow.

Mr. A. S. Bailey was a passenger on the limited express on Saturday morning, after attending a meeting of the Road Transport Alliance at Wellington.

Mr. W. A. Hislop, general mariacer for New Zealand of Universal Pictures Proprietary, Limited, returned to Wellington by the limited express last night.

Father P. T. B. McKeefry. -editor of Zealandia, left for Wellington by the limited express last night, en route to the South Island, where he will spend a fortnight's holiday. Early in January Father McKeefry will leave on a visit to Italy, France, England and Eire.

The Rev. A. M. Elliffe. clerk of the Auckland Presbytery, the Rev. I?. Ferguson Fish, the Rev. W. R. Miine, and Messrs. J. Cuthbertson and J. Findlay, representative elders of the Presbyterian Church, left by the limited express last night to attend the annual sessions of the Presbyterian Genera! Assembly opening in Dunedin on Wednesday evening.

Mr. E. P. V. Sealv, who has been manager of the Wanganui branch of the National Bank- of New Zealand, Limited, for the past 10 years, will retire on superannuation at the end of this year, after completing approximately 42 years of service. He will be succeeded by Mr. J. L. Barribail, manager at Pukekolie, whose successor will be Mr. A. M. Walters, at present manager at Ruawai.

Dr. J. Hight, rector of Canterbury University College, and chairman of tko Academic Board of the University of New Zealand, which has been meeting in Auckland, left on his return to Christchureh by the limited express last night. Professor P. H. Powell and Dr. W. Sadler, of Canterbury University College, Dr. A. R. Andrew, of Otano University, and Professor H. B. Kirk, of Victoria University College, also returned South after attending the meeting.
