Give Clear Signals
Indefinite methods are adopted by many motor-drivers in signalling their intention to atop or turn. It is surely essential in the interests of road safety for clear and comprehensive signals to be given. The hand and fingers should be fully extended to offer the best possible visibility to an overtaking driver. The slovenly habit of pointing a finger toward the direction the driver intends to follow has often been deprecated. The wider use of traffic indicator* is relieving the trouble, but there still appears to be room for improvement. Indicators should never be used as a stop signal.
