"MAD ABOUT ANGLING"
The father of a 15-vears-old London boy told the Westminster Juvenile Court magistrates a fishing storv when his son was charged with the theft of £lO 10s. "My son is mad about angling," the father said, "and although lie already iiiis three or four rods 1 think ho took this on the impulse of tho moment to buy a. rod costing £3 10s and an 18s 9d pair of waders." The father promised the magistrates that the money would bo repaid. A policeman said it was the boy's duty to lock the safe of his firm. He returned after closing hours and took the money. The boy was put on probation for a year.
