Phillips, Royal Marines, ton of Major and the late Mrs. E. -j'hillips, of England. Tho ceremony was performed by Canon R. L. Connolly nnd the wedding music was played by Mr. Simpson. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. T. Burns, wore a graceful cream lace redingote over mushroom-pink chiffon, the skirt being cut' on full-flowing lines and the long ileeves finishing in a point over each hand. A row of tiny buttons fastened the frock down the front. She wore a picture hat of mushroom-pink leghorn bound with matching velvet ribbon and carried a bouquet of deep rwi roses. The bridegroom was attended by Pa ymaster-Lieutenant A. Woodifield as best man. „ , The Reception A largely-attended reception was afterward held at the residence of tho bride and her mother,- tho house being attractively decorated for the occasion with delicately-tinted stocks and cherr> blossom. To receive her guests Mrs. Burns woro a frock of black and white fish lace over black taffetas, with a black taffetas hem. and bolero. Her black Itrftw hat was ornamented with a powder blue feather and sho carried a. Bouquet of blue nemesias. The bride's two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Ludbrook, who had arrived by the Monterey from a visit to the United States on the morning of the wedding, and Mrs. F. Allen, ot Perth, Western Australia, were present. Mrs. Allen >wore a black embossed craquelle frock :«ith a hyacinth blue sash, and a black hat trimmed with hyacinth blue ribbon. Commodore 1. G. Glennie and Mrs. Glennie were also among the guests.
