INSTITUTE AFFAIRS
Waimaukn. —A flower show was held recently by the institute. Flowers, hand-crafts, cooking, fancy work, photography, novelties, vegetables and primary school work were shown. The function was arranged by the president, Mrs. J. A. Blake, the secretary, Mrs. A. Kerr-Taylor, and the committee.
Lichfield. —At the monthly meeting Mrs. Wooderson was elected a delegate to attend the council meeting at Matamata. Competition results were: Folded serviette, Mrs. Burgess, 1; Mrs. Ranger, 2. Competition arranged by Mrs. Wooderson; Mrs. Lynn, 1; Mrs. Pefferell, 2. Mrs. Burgess demonstrated the making of wool squares. The hostesses were Mrs. Wooderson and Mrs. Lynn.
