CABARET FUNCTION
MANY GUESTS PRESENT ATTRACTIVE DECORATIONS A large number of people were present at the Peter Pan Cabaret last night, when Miss Margaret O'Connor, assisted by her staff, hold her annual studio ball. The ballroom looked attractive with large stands of flowering cherry at each corner of the dance floor. The centre pillars were festooned with nikau palms and roses, and on each table was a vaso of spring flowers. The guests were received by Miss O'Connor, who wore a frock of black floral georgette with a triple sash of cyclamen, purple and green georgette. Members of the staff comprised: — Miss Kathleen O'Connor, who wore a frock of blush pink georgette; Miss Joan Welch, daffodil georgette; Miss Marie Chaney, black net embroidered with gold sequins; Miss Peggy Killeen, gold shimmer satin. Presentations ou behalf of the staff and pupils were made to Miss Margaret O'Connor and Mr. W. E. Priestley. Bouquets were presented to the staff by Miss O'Connor, and presents to her two youngest pupils, Xgaire Hagues and Colin Haw.
The Aliss Phvlis Hay lor prize for dancing was won by Miss J. Cargill and Air. J. Lanigan.
The dancing competitions held during the evening for novice, junior and senior classes were judged by Mrs. Cassels Brown, who wore a frock of ivory satin, Miss Kathleen O'Connor and Mr. Lex Grieves. The prize-win-ners were:—Miss Iris House and Mr. G. Woo lie novice class; Miss D. Gardner and Mr. V. McKane, junior class; Miss X. Henderson and Mr. A. L. Markham, senior class.
Among thoso present were: —Mrs. B. Winton, who wore black lace; Mrs H. Hagues, black taffetas; Mrs. E. Johnson, gipsy striped ehiifon; Mrs. A. E. Neville, mauve chiffon; Mrs. R. Spitz, silver lame; Mrs. D. A. Wright, Parma violet taffetas; Mrs. C. 'laylor, black sequihned net; Mrs. J. Gilbertson, maize rippled ninon; Mrs. H. Birkeland, bronze net; Mrs. G. Watchen, orchid georgette; Mrs. James Howarth, floral blue taffetas; Mrs. L. Richardson, black lace.

House, black georgette; Miss Kathleen Boyle, ivory stiffened net; Miss W. Craig, floral ivory georgette; Miss P. Bentata, quilted cherry taffetas; Miss 1). Bentata, confetti dotted black net; Miss J. Cameron, lavender georgette; Miss E. Browne, black net over cyclamen satin; Miss Molly Levy, midnight blue chiffon; Miss I. Stanton, pale pink organdie; Miss Shirley Long, floral georgette; Miss S. Howlett, honey gold lace; Miss R. Gates, black satin; Miss B. Ganley, black taffetas.
